12/8/2008 @ 7:00 AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

A new week has dawned and new weather to watch. The cold air recedes for a while and we have a good chance for some serious rainfall this week. The mid west and north east has been pounded hard with snow over the weekend. The southern end of the mid west storm is going to likely bring Tennessee a hefty dose of windy and wet weather. But today (Monday) will be a calm transitional day. Let’s look at current conditions.

Temperature is 32 Deg and it feels warmer than that. Temp will rise fairly quickly today and feel great compared to yesterday. Low last night was 21 deg. but is warmed somewhat in the very early morning hours.
Barometer is 30.10 inches which is down slightly over last 24 hours, watch for the pressure to start to fall more tonight.
Humidity is 63% we didn’t see any frost this morning but there was some on the ground last night before the temperature moderated.
Wind is SE @ 4 mph and feels great compared to yesterday. Look for more southerly and wind speeds to increase today.
The sky is partly cloudy with heavier clouds to the west. (Alto Cumulus)

Forecast for today: Outdoor chores are best done this morning but it will be dry and mildly seasonal today, High 52 or more in places. Increasing clouds. Rain chances increase for tonight and Tuesday will be wet. By mid day Tuesday we could see Thunder and then Flurries as the system moves out. The next 36 hours will see a lot of changing weather. We do need a good rain event, for the Reservoirs around the Mid-State are low. That’s all for now, have a great day.
