12/18/2008 @ 7:00 AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

The weather is a big story all over the Country this morning. Snow in the South West and Ice in the North East, Tornado’s in the deep South, December has had just about everything except a Hurricane. Meanwhile here in Middle Tennessee we have serious quantities of rain for the first time in at least 18 months. We may see a lull today but the rainy weather is not over for the foreseeable future. Our observation this morning is indicating very little change from yesterday but we have to record what we see, so here are the facts.

Temperature is 42 deg. this morning, we should see 50’s today maybe mid 50’s if we get a break in the overcast, but don’t bet on that. Warmer temps are ahead for next few days.

Barometer is Steady at 30.15″ and has not wavered from yesterdays reading. We should see pressure move down today because of more active weather coming in.

Humidity is 98%, the air is nearly saturated and ground is fully saturated. Fog continues to be a traffic threat this morning.

Wind is Calm but we will see a more Southerly flow by tonight and with that the rain chances go back up. Wind speeds will increase tonight and tomorrow.

Sky is overcast (Stratus) with fog at ground level and cloud ceiling at 1,400 feet.

Forecast for today is mostly cloudy with mild temperature and slight chance of rain. Rain more likely tonight and maybe even thunder showers late tonight. Friday looking to be warm breezy and wet.

We all prayed for rain and rain is what we got. God is good, have a great Thursday.
