Feels like December this morning but January is only 1 day away. Our spell of dry weather continues for another day but no more 60 degree days for awhile. Cold dry air is rushing in from the Northwest and Wind Chills are in the low 20’s this morning. Temps will manage only low 40’s today but still mostly sunny. The wind and a light layer of clouds kept us frost free overnight. The Barometer is rising after only a brief dip late yesterday. The next 36 hours will be dry and settled with Rain chances creeping back in late Tomorrow night. January is usually a very active month and the Storm track usually dives our way more frequently in January so we will likely have plenty to write about over the next several weeks. Now for today’s facts.

Temperature is 31 deg. with a Wind Chill of 23 deg. Look for 42 degrees by this afternoon. The Sun will compete with the wind to see whether you feel cold or comfortable but best you bundle up and as my Dad would have said “wear your hat today son”.

The Barometer has recovered to 30.20″ and still rising. The next 36 hours at least will be dry and peaceful, but it’s getting to the time of the year when Barometer watching can be very interesting.

Humidity is down to 66% this morning, that Cold North wind is dry and the sun yesterday dried up a lot of the wet ground out here in the Country yesterday. Our drought situation is in good shape right now so we can afford a little dry weather.

Wind is Northwest at 12 mph this morning and gusting to 16. Gust to above 20 not unlikely today. Wind likely will ease up tonight.

Sky is partly cloudy with a mix of clouds clearing by evening.

The Forecast summary for today is Fair and Cold with breezy Northerly Wind. High in the low 40’s. Clear and Cold tonight Low around 20 degrees. New Years Day looks to be more of the same. Nothing to remarkable going on around here weatherwise. Have a safe New Years eve, don’t forget the Black eye Peas and Hogs Jowl for tomorrow.
