1/3/2009 @ 7:00 AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

There is a lot of varied and active weather around the country this morning. And some of it is going to effect our weekend around Middle Tennessee. The GOES Eastern Satellite is depicting a rather organized blob of disturbed weather to our South and West that will send us clouds and rain and likely a few thundershowers over Saturday and Sunday. Folks to our South in Mississippi and Louisiana will have Severe Weather and Tornado’s in their forecast. We will keep a eye on things here but the track is mostly to our South.Temperatures are mild until Monday. We will hit 60 today and mid 50’s on Sunday.Lows only down to 50’s tonight with the rain, and down to mid 30’s Sunday night with clearing skies. But the weather in the upper mid west will effect us by late Monday with more rain and clouds. The Rain Gauge had only a Trace of precipitation fogging up the cylinder this morning. The ground is fairly dry this morning but the air is very moist on a gentle but persistent Southern 6 mph breeze. Now for the facts’

Temperature is 48 deg. at 7:00 AM but warming quickly even under cloudy sky. We will hit 60 or 62 today and not dropping too much overnight. We stay mild until Sunday evening.

Barometer is 29.95″ and dropping. The Low pressure to our South and another area of Low Pressure in the Mid West will keep our weather active for the next few days.

Humidity is 92% this morning and will stay damp for next few days. It is after all Winter time even if it doesn’t feel like it.

Wind is Southeast @ 6 mph this morning. Look for 5 to 10 mph today and tonight and Sunday. Late Sunday will see a shift to more Northerly . It could be a bit gusty in some of the rain showers.

Sky is overcast and will be so until latter part of Sunday. Our weekend is looking gloomy.

The summary for this weekend is Cloudy and rainy, especially Saturday night. Thunderstorm chances late Saturday. No severe weather expected. Cloudy and rain Sunday before partial clearing. Mild temperatures. This is a good weekend to watch Football or go to the Movies. Our Tennessee Titans have a bye week so we might take in a movie.
