We have embarked on what could be a week of extremely mild mid winter weather. This kind of weather is not totally unusual but you have to get the feeling that at some point we are going to pay for it. In the long run things tend to average out. But lets just enjoy what we get and maybe let the furnace rest up a bit. The heat bill has put a squeeze on the house budget for the last 2 months. There is a very outstanding Red Cardinal perched on a tree limb outside the kitchen window this morning. We have a variety of colorful birds around here along with about 2 million Starlings. Somehow we have managed to attract some of the more colorful birds closer to the house and I’ve got to remember to get them some wild bird seed this weekend. The Starlings will get more than their share but I guess they get hungry just like we do. That doesn’t have anything to do with the weather but there isn’t a lot going on this morning. There is a bit of weather in the West and Upper Mid West but it’s not coming our way. We will begin to have some rain chances by Late Monday and by Tuesday we could have some Spring like showers and possible Thunderstorms but that’s a few days away. And even with the showers I think we stay with mild temperatures. So until the jet stream decides to dip back this way we have to try to enjoy a bit of Spring. Benji was in no hurry to come back in this morning but finally now for the facts.

The temperature at 7 was 30 degrees. Warming quickly, we see 59 or 60 for a high. Even warmer in spots. Low for tonight about 35 degrees. Saturday maybe well into the 60’s. Some spots may even flirt with the 70 degree mark in a day or two.

Barometer is at 30.40″. Down a bit but still well into the stable weather zone and it will not drop to much for the next few days.

Humidity is 64% largely due to a lot of the ground moisture drying up. The atmosphere will become gradually more moist over the next few days.

Wind is Dead out of the South at 5 mph this morning. Even at 30 degrees it felt pretty good outside early this morning.

The Sky is Clear, maybe a few fair weather Cumulus today but nothing more.

The summary for today, Fair and very mild. High near 60. Fair and cool tonight with Low in mid 30’s. Saturday more of the same and even warmer. The Buttercups will be lining the pathways and roadways in a few days. Have a wonderful day.
