IT SHOULD REACH THE I 65 CORRIDOR BETWEEN 10AM AND NOON…AND THE PLATEAU BY 2 PM. DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINEWINDS WILL BE THE MAIN HAZARD. HOWEVER…FAVORABLE ATMOSPHERICWIND SPEEDS AND DIRECTIONS WILL BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR ISOLATEDTORNADOES.WINDS WILL ALSO BE STRONG BEFORE AND AFTER THE THUNDERSTORMS.WIND GUSTS OF 45 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE DAY.

You just know that there will be days like this and I have been concerned about a possible outbreak like this since late last week. Oklahoma and Texas have had a rough 24 hours but hopefully our experience will not be as bad. This line is not as strong as it was and it’s coming through in the earlier part of the day so our risk is continuing to be slightly down graded. After this moves past we will have a calmer evening although it may still be windy for awhile. Thursday is looking Sunny and 65 degrees. So…I’m going to have get the local Skywarn Net activated this morning so we better make this fast this morning.

Temperature at 7:00 AM is 59 degrees and headed up to 65. The wind and clouds are holding down the temp or it would be 70 or so. Low tonight with some clearing sky will be about 40 degrees.

Barometer is 29.80″ and falling. That’s fairly low and we are definitely in the Stormy weather mode today.

Humidity is 70%. That’s not bad for this hour of the day but the wind has the air mixed up pretty good and humidity aloft is considerably higher. I need to get me a weather balloon to check that out someday.

Wind is South at 11 mph and gusting to 30 at times.

The sky is mostly cloudy with a mix of Stratus and Alto Stratus.

The summary for today is Storms today around Noon time. Some may be severe with high wind and heavy rain . Possible Tornado threat so keep the weather radio close by. Thursday looks sunny and we cool of toward the weekend. Keep alert this morning and we will see you tomorrow.
