2/20/2009 @ 7:00 AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Once again we are surprised by a somewhat colder morning than was anticipated. Our Low last night hit 12 degrees, we have moderated to a balmy 15 as of 7 AM. A coating of very coarse Ice Crystals is indicative of a increase of Humidity over night and in fact we have a reading of 88%. The wind is calm but will be shifting from North to West early in the daylight hours and then to the Southwest by tonight. Wind is the key factor in our weather for the next 36 hours. With a Southerly wind this evening ushering in more moist air and a big blob of disturbed weather approaching from the Northwest our Rain chances by Saturday morning will go up considerably. As the day wears on Saturday a Shift in the Wind to the North will allow our rain to possibly turn to Snow for a while before it all ends. Sunday will see a return to Sun but cold temperatures will remain. Today however will be slightly warmer than yesterday and mostly Sunny with high of 49 degrees. Saturday could see 55 before that wind shift. Spring is 28 days away. Now for the facts.

We did not have any precipitation in the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7 AM is 15 degrees. Look for a High of 49 and a Low tonight about 32 at mid night but warming up over night with the increasing clouds and South wind.

Barometer is 30.25″ and Steady. We will see a dip starting this afternoon as weather approaches. By Sunday the pressure will re bound.

Humidity is 88% this morning. That is up from yesterday and we have more moisture in bound today and tonight.

Wind is Calm this morning but will shift from North to West and ultimately South West by the end of the day. Saturday afternoon going back to the North.

Sky is clear this morning but look for increasing clouds as the day progresses. Cloudy tonight.

The forecast summary for today, Transition day today with increasing clouds slightly warmer with 49 degrees. Clouds tonight and rain by Saturday morning. Colder Saturday afternoon with flurries. We will try to firm up the forecast for Saturday in the morning. Have a great day, TGIF.
