3/14/2009 @ 7:00AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Rain has been the dominant weather in Middle Tennessee for the last 24 hours and today looks to be the wettest day this week. We only see .74″ in the gauge this morning but it’s raining steadily as I make that observation. The Temperature is however moderated to the point that we maintained 42 degrees overnight and have 43 at 7 AM. The high today could be 52 but it’s not going to feel that warm. I don’t hear any birds singing this morning I guess they are all hunkered down trying to stay dry. This current crop of wetness should be finally ending Sunday afternoon but we will still have a lot of fog and generally damp conditions until Monday. On the plus side it looks more like Spring next week and we could dry out quickly if the Sun is just given half a chance. Spring will be here next Friday at 6:44 AM. Now for the facts, soggy as they may be.

We recorded .74″ of rain in the last 24 hours.
Temperature is 43 degrees at 7 AM and hoping for a High of 52. Low tonight of 45 degrees. We are trending warmer at least no big Ice Storm.

Barometer is 30.05″ and Steady now. Pressure may fall a bit today but nothing serious. Look for a rebound later Sunday.

Humidity is 98% and will stay there for next 36 hours or so. It is just about as wet as it can get.

Wind is North at 4 mph. At least it’s not blowing hard I’m chilly enough with all this wetness we have. I still am looking for a shift East and then South. But until that happens our weather pattern is stuck in this wet conglomeration we have now.

The Sky is overcast. If we are lucky we might see some brief Sun Sunday afternoon. Certainly looking for Clearer sky next week.

The Summary is short and wet. RAIN Saturday with 52 degrees. RAIN Saturday night with a Low of 45. RAIN Sunday before ending in the afternoon. High Sunday of 55 or so. Low Sunday night in the mid 40’s. That’s about the size of it. Get your Galoshes out if you have to go out. Next week looks better, keep your chin up and try to stay dry. Hope you can manage to get to Church tomorrow. I plan to Rain or shine. But it looks like it will be RAIN.
