I have it on good authority from our friends at NASA that the Sun is still up there and the guys on the International Space Station have seen it so we don’t have to worry. With a bit of luck we may get a glimpse today and a return to Sunny skies for a couple of days on Tuesday and Wednesday. This is the last week of Winter, Spring arrives on Friday morning at 6:44 AM. Our weekend was a washout but the showers and fog are exiting to the East. This last few days of Winter looks to be calm and uneventful, but I’m sure we will have our share of BIG weather days as we get into Spring. Our weather pattern all Winter has been active and there is nothing to indicate a change in the frequency of active weather, I lost count of the number of Frontal passes we had this past Winter but it seemed like 1 everyday there for awhile. But we are looking for the Cold spells to be shorter and the speed with which these fronts march across the country to slow down. Now for the facts on this Foggy wet Monday morning.

We had .74″ of Rain recorded on Sunday morning and .03″ this morning. That’s over 2 inches since last Thursday. It seemed like more but we never had any heavy rain here just a nearly continuous drizzle.
Temperature at 7 AM is 52 degrees. Look for 65 today and a Low of 42 tonight. Tuesday we have Sun and 72 degrees.

Barometer is 30.15″ and Rising. Pressure never fell much below 29.90 during this last wet spell but a return to stronger pressure will hopefully clear us out for a few days.

Humidity is 96% and everything has been saturated for days. It will take a while to dry out.

Wind is Calm. Looking for a Shift to some warm dry Westerly wind at some point but I’ll believe it when I see it. We had East then South and finally North wind late yesterday but nothing strong enough to chase the fog away for any length of time.

The Sky is Cloudy with Fog, but Clearing should begin here by mid day. Sunny on Tuesday.

The Summary for Monday. Improving Sky with mild temperature. Cool tonight and clearing continuing. Sunny and 70’s on Tuesday. I don’t know about everybody else but my Seasonal Effect Disorder is kicking in and I need some Sun to chase the Blues away. You all have a good day and we look for a better day on Tuesday.
