3/23/2009 @ 7:00AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

This is as good a way to start out the week as I can think of but we may have some bumps in the road this week. We are seeing a few Clouds this morning but Sun will still be the dominant theme today. I think the next 36 hours or so will see a warming trend and increasing Clouds as we enter a period of several days of rain shower chances and my 5 day Spotters Advisory is mentioning some rougher Weather for Friday. This is Spring however so we have some stormy days and we have some temperature fluctuations but generally the wet days get fewer and further in between and when it does rain the sun dries us out faster. We have a 2 Acre front yard here and another 1 and a half out back that are just about ready for mowing but I hate to start because it will be a never ending chore for the next 7 months but in another way I’m looking forward to spending more time outdoors. I’ve been frugal and conservative for the last few months and I’m going to reward myself with a new mower here in the next few days. Anyway this is supposed to be about the weather so here’s the skinny. We look for 75 degrees today and Tuesday with increasing Clouds. Rain chances by Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday looking for Thundershowers. Shower chances hang on the rest of the week with possible heavier storms on Friday. That’s all still a little up in the air however so we’ll keep a eye on the situation. Now for the facts.

No rain for the last 48 hours and none expected for the next 24.
Temperature at 7 AM is 48 degrees. Cool but not bad this morning, rising fast and headed to 75 here in the Southern half of the Mid State. Low tonight about 45 and another 75 on Tuesday.

Barometer is 30.20″ and seeing a gradual fall in the pressure. We have a week of unsettled weather ahead but I don’t think it will be all that bad at least not for another day or so.

Humidity is 85%. About average for this hour but still a bit higher than the last couple of mornings. We did dry up all the mud however and we have plenty of Sun today.

Wind is calm this morning but look for Southerly breezes to pick up as the day wears on. Tuesday could see 15 to 25 mph wind speeds as the rain draws near.

The Sky is mostly Sunny this morning but look for more Clouds later and Tuesday will see more Clouds than Sun.

The Summary for Monday is Fair and Warm with increasing clouds. 75 for the High and 45 for another Frost Free night. Get out and take some Sun and have a good day. The rest of the week will be a bit more Cloudy and wet from time to time.
