5/19/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

It was a little bit cool on the Periwinkles last night but we did not have any frost. I recorded a 38 degree Low here and our little House on the hill is usually a cool spot so unless you are up on the Plateau in Cookville or thereabouts you most likely came out alright. Tonight we should be in the 40’s but today we get to bask in the 76 degree Sunshine so get out and commune with nature if you are able. We had another night of heavy Dew and the Humidity is up some from yesterday morning but that is quickly burning off in this morning Sunshine. The weekend is on the far horizon today but since it’s a Holiday weekend and will mark the unofficial start of the Summer Season we are trying to firm up a Forecast of what to expect. And…..it’s looking like rain shower chances creep back in the forecast on Friday and get a little more likely everyday through the period until Monday. I’m expecting just shower chances and no more heavy rains for awhile and I expect if you plan a little and maybe keep a eye on the Radar you can still enjoy all of your Memorial Day plans. Meanwhile the rest of the work week looks Fair and Dry with warming temps. So since I have work to do today and a meeting of the old Ham Radio Club this evening I guess I need to get to the facts.

We did not have any rain for the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7 AM was 45 degrees and has risen off a Low of 38 degrees. Expect a High of 75 or 76 degrees today. Low tonight in the Low to mid 40’s. Wednesday will put us back in the 80’s for our Highs.

Barometer is up to 30.30″ and we have a Clear Blue sky and a dry place to set out foot on to thank for that. The Jet Stream is well to our South and we are firmly in the grip of High pressure for a few days.

Humidity is 90% and we have a lot of Dew but that will be mostly gone by 8 AM.

Wind is Calm this morning but will be picking up to 5 to 10 mph out of the North. Maybe a few breezes in the 12 to 15 mph range from time to time.

The Sky is Clear and Bright Blue in the dry air aloft. Look for mostly clear today and if any Clouds are around you will have to search for them.

The Summary for Tuesday is Fair and Warm. High of 76 degrees here in the Southern Region of middle Tennessee. Not as cool tonight. Have a good day and take care.
