6/11/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

The Dew Point is 73 degrees this morning! Just for comparison in Pensacola this morning the DP is 72 deg. We got all this Humidity and no Beach or Deep Sea Fishing or any other perks that make the Tropics bearable. The Thunder Storms did settle down over night but are firing back up early this morning. Perry County Tennessee has a Severe Thunder Storm warning now and that cell is more or less headed our way. There will be a lot of new developing cells as the morning wears on so be prepared today for a few bumps. If you need to do any out door chores today you might want to think about taking the day off or get some youngster who’s gonna live forever to do it because the air has way to much water in it. My buddy at the airport says the oxygen content on the ground this morning is equivalent to what you normally would find at 8000 feet above sea level. Makes you wish you had a pressurized house to live in. That’s likely why I didn’t see any Bunnies this morning and the Bird Feeder is running slow today. Temperatures today and for the next several days are going to run in the mid to upper 80’s for Highs and mid 60’s for Lows. Rain chances everyday for next several days but today looks likely to be the most Severe. So keep a eye on the weather and the NOAA Weather Radio turned on. We also will have a strong possibility of Lightening with these Storms so if you go to Bonnaroo Karla be careful. Now for the facts.

We reported .02″ of Rain this morning. Likely to have more tomorrow.
Temperature at 7 AM was 74 degrees. That the warmest we have been at this hour for the year. Look for 85 or so. Maybe a bit warmer if we get a clear break this afternoon. Another warm muggy night tonight.

Barometer is 29.80″ and falling. This is indicating a good chance for some rough weather today.

Humidity at 7 AM is 95%. Dew Point of 73 degrees. This is the fuel for possible strong Storms and lots of Lightening.

Wind is South at 7 mph. Look for strong wind near the Storms today. No wind shift in the near future.

Sky is Partly Cloudy with more Clouds on the way. Still there will be Sunny breaks between the Storms.

The Summary for today. Hot and Humid with Strong Thunder Storms possible at just about any time today and tonight. We also have enough juice in this air for a possible isolated Tornado even though no one is mentioning that one at this hour. However as I was typing that K4OHX was asking for a Radio check. That’s the Weather Service Office at Old Hickory. They must be getting ready for a busy day. Have a safe day.
