6/23/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

We finally got lucky last night, and snagged .07″ of Rain from a dying former Thunder Storm complex that dropped out of Kentucky and this one managed to get all the way to Bedford County before it was spent. We have some chances of that today as well. Some of those Storms on Monday were Severe so keep a wary eye out for trouble. All of this heat and humidity have the potential for causing some big build ups. Our Winds have shifted North and normally that would be a good indicator of cooler weather but there is a lot of Heat everywhere now and we will still be in the mid 90’s for temperatures. We could see just the tiniest decrease in the Humidity but it won’t be much relief. The grass will see a bit of a perk up from our over night shower, and we get the maximum benefit of it since it was able lay there all night and soak in before the Sun came up. The Birds are still emptying the feeder every 48 hours and the Wildlife is out and about in the slightly cooler morning. I saw Rabbits, Deer, Turkeys, and I have heard some Owls hooting the last couple of mornings. We now have at least 2 Killdeer nest on the North Lawn, I guess I’ll have to find a way to mow around. Now I’m still on the VBS duty so here are the facts for Tuesday.

We got .07″ of Rain yesterday from a late night shower.
Temperature at 7 AM was 75 deg. We had a cooler night thanks to evaporational cooling from our Rain but look for 95 for the High today and 72 tonight.

Barometer is Stuck at 29.85″ and not moving much today.

Humidity is 95% and will trend slightly lower but 60 degree Dew Points this afternoon are expected.

Wind is North this morning thanks to the Shift in the Jet Stream. Still won’t cool us down much. It’s Summertime now.

The Sky is clear at 7 AM but we will have a fair amount of Cloud buildup along with a good deal of sun.

The Summary for today. More Hot and Humid. Shower and Storm chances this afternoon and evening. Have a good dayOn The Air
