7/4/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Happy 4th of July America. The Sun is up early this morning over a Clear sky and we are headed into a classic Hot Sunny July Holiday. There is weather on the horizon and we need some but for the biggest part of the day I don’t foresee any problems. The Barometer is up still and steady at 30.10″ and the Temperature should run 90 or 92 today with some higher Humidity than the previous few days. There is a Front to our West that is headed in for tonight and Sunday that has prompted some Notices for Skywarn folks to be prepared to activate tonight. We need some serious rain and we may get a good deal of Rain on Sunday. So keep a eye on the weather this evening and maybe the Fireworks Displays can go off on time but also maybe we can get some Rain. We have some neighbors down the road from us that were shooting off some Rockets last night and Missy was most decidedly not happy and was headed for the front porch. She is usually the last one to want to go in but she doesn’t seem to care for Fireworks. Benji has seen it all before but he was sticking close by my leg just in case I needed protecting. Tonight they will be inside and I’ll leave a Radio or the TV on and a bit on the loud side so maybe they will not be scared. Now let’s look at the facts and the weekend scene, it doesn’t feel like a Saturday today for some reason but it is.

We have no Rain to report for the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7 AM was 70 degrees. We are headed to 92 here in the Southern Middle Tennessee Region today. After a warmer 70 degree night we may only get to 84 on Sunday for the High. Monday as we clear out look for 88 degrees.

The Barometer has Risen to 30.10″ and will be up a bit more before falling in advance of a strong front coming through tonight and Sunday. Hoping we can rebound into the 30’s on Monday.

Humidity is 90% this morning. Will fall off a bit in the heat of the day but Dew Points will be in the 70’s tonight.

Wind is Calm early but is going to be Southerly today at 5 to 10 mph and stronger tonight in or near the Showers I’m hoping for. Look for North wind again on Monday.

Sky is Clear at 7 AM but a good build up today and Cloudy tonight and Sunday. Sunny again on Monday.

The Summary for this weekend. Independence Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. South wind between 5 and 10 mph. Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. South wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Sunday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west northwest.Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming north northeast around 5 mph.
