7/20/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

We had a few more Clouds than I expected over the weekend but the Temperature’s were spot on for the Lows that were predicted. The modest Humidity combined with the cool Canadian Air made for a “Fall Like” weekend. Today will again be cool by July comparisons but this is also a transition day back towards the reality of Summer and July. Forty years ago today I was a 15 year old kid counting the days until I turned 16, when my mom called me into the house to watch the first men land on the Moon. We watched on a black and white TV along with the rest of the world as a feat of Aviation and Science that had been a big part of my young life culminated in a success for the USA and mankind as well. This country needs the Space Program if for no other reason than to give our young people a reason to look up. I wanted to go to the Moon but it doesn’t look like I’ll make it, but I’ve seen the curvature of the Earth and on occasion flown with the Eagles, you can’t get that from a Video game kids….Weather wise we are Mild and dry again today with a gentle North wind that will usher in yet another cool over night. Tuesday the wind shifts Southerly and the Humidity will begin to return and seasonal shower chances return for most of the remainder of the work week. Outdoors we have a heavy dew load and the Robins are grazing for worms on the South Lawn this morning. Several Bunny Rabbits have staked a claim to the North Lawn and a bunch of Gold Finches are chiding me to fill the Bird feeder. All is well in the great out doors. Now for the facts.

We didn’t have any Rain over the weekend. Didn’t expect any.
Temperature at 7AM was 61 degrees after a 55 degree over night. Today look for about 81 for the High and down to 60 tonight. Tuesday about 5 degrees warmer with a returning South wind.

Barometer is 30.15″ and Steady. Love that Canadian High Pressure in the Summer time. We are experiencing the strongest pressure of the Summer. Don’t expect it to last long.

Humidity is 90% with a lot of Dew this morning. That will quickly burn off and we will have low Dew Points again today. Humidity on the Rise on Tuesday.

Wind is Calm but will pick up from the North as the morning wears on. Look for a Southerly shift on Tuesday with returning Humidity and Shower chances by Tuesday night.

Sky is Clear this morning but a few Clouds today as well. Maybe not as many Clouds as the last couple of days.

The Summary for Monday. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph.Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 60. North northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph. That’s about the size of things for today. We have weed eating and grass mowing to do and likely enough to last all week. However, it would be a good day to Land on the Moon. Don’t forget to keep looking up.
