7/23/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County,Tennessee

The Clouds are on the decrease this morning and after receiving just under a quarter inch of Rain yesterday the total Rainfall for July to date is 3.97″. First of this month we were dry and looking at a possible dry and dusty Summer. There will likely be some dry stretches ahead but we are perking right along in the 3rd week of July. We are officially mid way through Dog Days with 20 days to go. The outdoors at 6:30 in the morning is slow as far as the wildlife goes, the real activity takes place about 5 AM these days and reluctantly I guess me and the Canine patrol are missing out for awhile. Recent Rain has promoted the Mosquito population and from about 7:00 PM until 10 O’clock it is almost unbearable the last few nights. I still see a few Bats that are working hard to get the situation under control. I usually see them as they pass through the illumination of the Security light. They have some help from a few other birds as well but you can usually spot the Bats, they can turn and dive faster than a F-16 and if a Mosquito is in his sights it’s a done “meal”. Weather wise look for about 85 degrees today for the High and Down to 60 tonight. Friday we will likely be closer to “normal” with a High of 90 in some places. The weekend looks Fair on Saturday and maybe some Showers on Sunday. We will dry out some today and Friday. Now let’s look at the facts.

We reported .23″ of Rain for the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7AM was 65 degrees. After a 60 degree overnight Low we look for a High of about 85 today and 90 on Friday.

Barometer is 30.00″ and hoping for a little Rise today but not a lot. No sign of any real change in our anemic Barometer yet.

Humidity is 95% this morning with a hefty dew load. Burning a lot of that off today and maybe a bit of dry air today but returning Humidity for the weekend.

Wind is West at 5 mph this morning. Looking to remain West to Northwest until a gradual Southwest shift Saturday which will precede a increase of Shower chances.

Sky is Partly Cloudy this morning. A few Clouds today, mostly Sunny on Friday.

The Summary for today. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph. That’s fairly standard Summer stuff for us but a little below normal on the temperature. I bet we make that up somewhere down the road. Have a good day, I’m trying to get over this Summer Viral stuff but I get the best Medical care anywhere. LOL
