7/29/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Yesterday was one of the most Cool July days that I can remember. I have a colleague over in the West Tennessee area, Mr. William Brantley, who says he recorded a 78 degree High and set a record for July 28 for the Lowest High Temperature. Mr. Brantley is the Man when it comes to Weather History so I’m betting he knows what he is talking about. Well William here in Southern Middle Tennessee we only hit 81 degrees. I’m not sure if it’s a record here or not but it sure gave our HVAC a break. We also picked up another .29″ of Rain raising the July total to date to 4.73″ and we likely will have some more before Friday. The Shower chances are not quite as good today as yesterday but tonight and Thursday look like we will have excellent Rain chances. Some isolated spots around Tennessee have had a foot of Rain this month. The Humidity is High and the Barometer is Low, with a South wind. Yes, we are having some wet weather this July. The great outdoors are wet this morning. No signs of any wildlife except for two very romantic Bunny Rabbits on the South Lawn. Now let’s look at the facts on this Partly Sunny and soggy Wednesday morning.

We reported .29″ of Rain to the CoCoRaHs group.
Temperature at 7 AM is 70 degrees. Look for another cool but Humid day with a High of 82 or so. Low tonight of 70 or so. The High Humidity makes it feel a bit warmer. Thursday looks like about the same.

Barometer is 29.85″ and Steady now. Not looking for a big move today and as the Month ends we still see no sign of the Strong High Pressure that is usually standard for our Summer period.

Humidity is 95% and will remain High today with 70 degree plus Dew Points. All the Low Pressure and Damp weather is responsible for my Sore Aching Back. It’s rough on my Gal Pal in Manchester as well.

The Wind is Southwest at 5 mph this morning. Look for that to continue from the Southwest and maybe a bit breezy today.

The Sky is Partly Cloudy. Look for Clouds and Sun but Clouds will be dominant.

The Summary. Today: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Southwest wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Tonight: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Thursday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. South southwest wind between 5 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. And so it goes. Maybe we are storing up Rain for a Hot Dry August. God is in Control. Have a good day.
