8/2/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

The Sun is shining this morning. Saturday afternoons rains left a total of .37 in the gauge yesterday morning but we didn’t have anything additional to report today. Enjoy today but get your outdoor chores caught up today if you can. Tuesday look for Shower chances to return and last to some degree all week. Our wet weather pattern that set up in early July may be continuing into August.Last month was the 4th Coolest July on Record and the wettest July since 1984. It sure didn’t start out that way however, you never know what the next big trend will be in Middle Tennessee. I’ve spent some time in Climates where the weather is Boring. The Weather Service Office at Nellis Airbase in Vegas usually just has to predict whether or not there may be a few “Clouds”. Then the occasional rain event will shut the place down. Give me 4 Seasons. The Low last night was 61 degrees and that held up through the 7 AM hour. One benefit to the Low Barometer and the wet weather has been a Summer with a lot of Cool nights. It’s usually good for the Electric meter when the Air doesn’t have to run all night long. With just over a week left of “Dog Days” the out doors is pretty ho hum. The Rabbits are so accustomed to me and my posse that they don’t really pay us much mind. The Deer get up and are gone way to early for me at this time of year. We did hear that old Woodpecker this morning however. The days are getting shorter and in a few more days we will see our average High temps start to fall below the 90 degree mark. We will be right about dead on that 90 degrees for our High today and tomorrow. Warmer over night as well as we see the Dew Points rise and shower chances creep in on Tuesday. Now let’s look at the facts.

We reported .37″ of Rain on Sunday morning but none for today.
Temperature at 7 AM is 61 degrees. Look for 90 today and down to 65 or so tonight. Tuesday about 90 to 92.

Barometer is 30.05″ and rising a bit but not much. Look for a drop again on Tuesday but no big moves.

Humidity is a Dew filled 95% this morning. Waiting on the grass to dry off. Modest Dew Points today will be on the rise over night.

Wind is Calm this morning. Look for Wast to Northwest at about 5 mph today. Trending more Southerly on Tuesday.

Sky is partly cloudy today, looking for more Clouds tonight and tomorrow. But….still a generous amount of Sun.

The Summary for today. Sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph. Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. West northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Tuesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph. Time is getting away so I gotta scoot. Have a good one.
