8/7/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

We are off and running on what is going to be a Hot day today. The Wind when it does get started this morning will be Southerly and pumping up some muggy Humid air. The Barometer is up this morning and we may have a glimpse of some more typical Summer weather. By Sunday we will enter into a period of possible afternoon Thunder Storms, which are typical for August. Those Shower chances will be low however. Most of the active weather is up North and looks to stay there for a few days. The weather here in Tennessee will be just Hot and Humid. It might not be a bad idea to check the filters in your HVAC units because they will get a workout for the next few days. The outdoors activity is slow, unless your a BUG. Those guys all have it going on. I guess we need to let them have their party, they don’t get to live to long. My little Missy went to Pet Smart and had the “Spa” treatment last night. Bath, Nails, and a massage. She had a lot of fun, but she was ready for her bed last night. I could use a little “Spa” treatment myself. My Spa today will be a Yard Tractor however. Now let’s look at the facts.

No Rain in the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7AM was 71 degrees. Looking for 92 degrees today and down to 66 or so tonight. Saturday we should easily make it to 95 degrees here in the Southern Region of Middle Tennessee.

Barometer is 30.15 and still trying to Rise some more. We have a Fair amount of Stable Pressure in the South that will for a time at least hold the active weather up North.

Humidity is 90% this morning. A lot of that will burn off in the heat but we will see Dew Points rise over the next few days. By Sunday we could start to see some Pop Up Showers, but with a Stable Barometer there should not be any major weather for several days.

Wind is Calm but will be Southerly at about 5 mph. The wind for the next few days will be Southerly and gentle.

Sky is Clear. We will have a lot of sun and just Fair Weather Cumulus Clouds for the next few days. The atmosphere is humid and a bit hazy. The Moon rose last night with a Red Color to it. If you are up late enough to see it rise tonight I think we will have a repeat of that.

The Summary. Today: Sunny, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 66. Southerly wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 95. Calm wind becoming south between 5 and 10 mph. That’s a typical Summer early August forecast. The Swimming Pool should be really nice tomorrow. Have a good day.
