8/15/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

It’s already gotten to be rather on the warm side early this morning. We had a 93 degree day yesterday with increasing Humidity. Just after dark the wind ceased and the Humidity became almost unbearable. We ate supper outside by the pool with friends and just sitting outside you were perspiring at 8 O’clock in the evening. Today looks like even more of the same. We did see a Pop Up Thunder Shower to our South but never heard any Thunder and I don’t believe anything much came of it. Those may be a bit more numerous today but still no one has a significant likelihood of having any Rain. We don’t really need any here either by the way. Those Shower chances will increase somewhat on Sunday and into Monday. Most areas of Middle Tennessee are looking at Temperatures of 92 or so today. Here in Northwest Bedford we have been tending to average 2 or 3 degrees warmer than Nashville so I really think we could hit 94 or 95 by 3 PM this afternoon. The weekend in general looks to be Hot and Humid with some Shower Chances. Finally we are at least in a normal pattern for our late Summer…….The Tropics are starting to show some signs of coming to life. Depression #2 has evolved into Tropical Storm Ana. Models are still conflicting about development but it’s more or less headed towards Puerto Rico at the current time. Still a few days away. And a Depression that could possibly become “Bill” is less than 1200 miles behind Ana. The waves of Low Pressure are coming off the African Coast regularly now. These things actually get started over the Sahara Desert, half a world away. Outdoors here is quite, everybody has hunted up a shady spot and has hunkered down. I’ve got a few chores this morning but the mowing is caught up until Monday. Now lets get to the facts.

No Rain in the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7AM was 72 degrees, headed to 94 or so. Low tonight in the mid to upper 60’s. More of the same on Sunday.

Barometer is 30.15″ and steady. That’s not very High but pretty stable for the trend we have had this Summer.

Humidity is 85% but not burning off nearly as quickly this morning. Dew Points will be high and it will be uncomfortable this weekend.

Wind is East at 3 mph this morning. The trend will be for a shift to the South during the course of the day. This will increase humidity even more and increase chances for shower development.

Sky is Mostly Clear this morning. We will have some cloud development but still on average a lot more Sun than Clouds.

The Summary for the weekend. Today: Sunny, with a high near 95. South wind around 5 mph. Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming south between 5 and 10 mph. Monday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming south between 5 and 10 mph. That’s about it. Monday might be a Rainy day. Have a great weekend and we are looking to see you all in Church on Sunday.
