8/22/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

It took it’s own sweet time but the Clouds and Humidity and Rain Showers we lived with all week have cleared out and we have sunny sky this morning. We can expect Sunny dry weather through at least Wednesday, with Low 80’s on the Front end and Higher 80’s by mid week. Temperatures at night through the period will be mostly in the 50’s. Hurricane Bill has passed Bermuda now and I guess they are still there since I got the following from their Website this morning……Hurricane Bill has now passed its closest point and the hurricane watch has ended. However, high swells, dangerous surf and deadly rip-currents will continue well into the weekend, especially along South Shore. A Tropical Storm warning remains in effect as tropical storm force winds continue until around midday. Hurricane force gusts are still possible early today in association with squally showers and thunderstorms. That was from the Bermuda Weather Service…..The East Coast of the good ole USA is getting much of the same so everyone needs to stay aware on the East Coast this weekend. We have several days worth of chores to do so a Sunny break is a welcome thing here. Now let’s look at the facts.

We reported yet an additional .08″ of Rain for the last 24 hours. We have had only .93″ for the 5 day period but it sure seemed like more as we have been damp all week.
Temperature at 7 AM was 67 degrees. That is quickly rising into the 70’s in the morning Sun. We are looking at Low 80’s today and Sunday and maybe mid 80’s on Monday with unseasonably cool nights.

Barometer is 29.95″ but should be Rising at least a little. We still have not seen any signs of Stronger Pressure but we are at least Stable for a few days.

Humidity is 85% this morning but dropping in the Sun and Heat and we will be MUCH drier over the next several days.

Wind has shifted behind the Frontal passage and is now Northwest at 4 mph. Looking at North to Northwest for a few days. We may see some trending Southwest about mid week.

Sky is Mostly Clear and we will see More Sun than Clouds for several days.

The Summary for this weekend. Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. North northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 58. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. North wind between 5 and 15 mph. Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 55. North wind between 5 and 10 mph becoming calm. Monday: Sunny, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming north northeast between 5 and 10 mph. We had a dreary week but it’s the weekend and we have a Sunny several days ahead. Looking for you in Church on Sunday. Sorry about all those Cold Swimming Pools but the Cool nights will keep them Chilly for awhile. Summer however is not over. We will be watching the Tropics again next week but the Current flurry of activity is ramping down for awhile. Have a good one.
