9/2/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

We have some Rain Shower chances today but likely nothing to get too concerned about. We actually are somewhat dry here in Bedford County and even with the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration going on we could stand a few showers, hopefully and the plan is, before the weekend. Lots of Clouds today will hold temperatures down to about 80 degrees and then with over night clouds and the increased Humidity Lows tonight of about 60 degrees. We collected .04″ of Rain here over night while folks just to our North did not receive any. Most areas in Middle Tennessee will see a few showers today however. Outdoors this morning the doggies were hot on the trail of some varmit that must have been visiting over night but we didn’t turn up anything. The Bunny Rabbit activity has slowed now after a very active Summer….On the Gulf Coast more Sun today after a mix of Sun and Clouds and showers yesterday. Tropical Storm Erika is weaker this morning but still expected to strengthen. She could head towards the Bahamas and the Florida or South Carolina Coast next week. Our weak Barometric pressure in the Eastern US has thus far allowed the Jet Stream to steer the storms away from the coast so maybe our folks in harms way will dodge another one. Now here are today’s facts.

We are reporting .04″ of Rain for the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7AM is 63 degrees with a expected High of 80 today and then down to 60 degrees tonight.

Barometer is 30.20″ and Steady now. Pressure will be up and down a bit but still mostly stable above the 30 inch mark.

Humidity is 90% here with some light Rain around. Look for damp conditions today.

Wind is currently East at 2 mph. Light and Variable breezes today.

Sky is Cloudy and look for a lot more Clouds than Sun today.

The Summary, Today: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Light winds mostly Easterly but variable at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph. So we have a few Clouds and Showers in the middle of the week but expecting Sun back in place by Friday. Have a good day.
