9/3/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Morning Sunshine on the Front Deck this morning may yield to Showers later in the morning. We managed to collect .05″ of Rain in the over night. Our showers chances today are primarily before Noon and this evening should be partly cloudy but dry and cool. The remainder of the week and the weekend look dry with some slight shower chances creeping back in on Sunday and into Labor Day…..Tropical Storm Erika is looking more and more like a Dud, and the Gulf Beaches look most excellent today. The Western Hurricane, Jimena, is injecting a lot of moisture into the atmosphere in the Southwest and that is promoting some upper air disturbances but any of that will be a few days away and would certainly not have any tropical characteristic’s by the time it made it’s way this far East. Outdoors is continuing to show evidence of Summer’s end and the cool nights have made the Swimming Pools mostly unbearable even for the youngest and most hardy souls. Still it should be a great weekend to kick off College Football. Now let’s look at those facts.

We reported .05″ of Rain for the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7AM was 63 degrees again this morning and we can expect a High of 82 or so today and a Low of 58 over night. That’s about 5 degrees below the “normal”.

Barometer is 30.15″ and varying up and down in a range of less than .05. No big moves either way expected today.

Humidity is 90% and while the over all Humidity has increased over the last 24 hours that should fall off a bit by this afternoon.

Winds are Calm this morning. The trend this afternoon will be towards a more Southerly direction. Wind Speeds of about 5 mph will be typical.

The Summary, Today: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before Noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph. Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. Calm wind. Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph. That’s still a fairly nice forecast for our Horse Show guests….The Flu is raging here in Bedford County, mostly children but now seeing their parents sick as well. Doctors and Nurses not being spared either. Take precautions. Otherwise, have a great day. If I go off line for a few days you will know I am a casualty. lol
