9/4/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

A Mostly Sunny day is in store for most of us today. A few cloudy spots here and there but not much in the way of rainfall chances for the Southern Region of Middle Tennessee today. Some counties to our Northwest had heavy rain Thursday morning but Bedford County was in the Dry for the last 24 hours. Shower chances will return to our Forecast late day Saturday and then through at least Labor Day Monday. Temperatures will range from the mid 80’s in the day time to the Low 60’s at night. That’s typical for this time of year. Former Tropical Storm Erika has fizzled out but is still worthy of keeping a eye on for another 24 hours or so and the Gulf Beaches will have Sun and Clouds with typical afternoon and evening showers. Outdoors on the trail this morning my little dog Missy finally confronted the critter that has been prowling around the house at night. It is a Kitty Cat. Fortunately not a Skunk. Missy sent him high tailing “again fortunately not a Skunk” but he’ll be back. Cats are stubborn that way. Maybe he’s eating some of the Mice that will be wanting to get in the house if these Cool nights continue. Now let’s look at the facts.

We did not report any Rain for the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7AM was 57 degrees. Look for a High of 86 today and then down to a Low of 62 tonight. Saturday perhaps a bit warmer depending on how much Cloud cover we get.

Barometer is 30.09″ and has been Falling slowly. Our Current center of High Pressure circulation is weakening and moving East but will keep us dry today anyway.

Humidity is 95% but burning off some as the Sun comes up. The door is opening more to Southern moisture and some Upper Air weather to our West and Southwest.

Wind is Calm but will run Southerly today at 5 mph or so.

Sky is Clear this morning at Sunrise but we will have some Clouds with the Sun today.

The Summary, Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming east southeast around 5 mph. Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph. The last Holiday weekend of the soon departing Summer and College Football this weekend. don’t miss it.
