9/5/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

It’s Football Time in Tennessee and there is that “feel” in the Air. We have clear sky and Sunshine at 7AM but we can expect a good deal of Cloudy weather later today and increasing shower chances. It’s also Horse Show time here as well and tonight is the Tennessee Walking Horse World Championship, in the outdoor arena so let’s hope they can stay in the dry. Those rain chances are better for Sunday and Monday but don’t let that be a big hitch in your Labor Day Weekend. Tropically we look fairly quite this Labor Day Weekend, especially compared to the last few years. There are a couple of waves of disturbed weather coming off the West African coast that could show some signs of organization next week. There are 3 months of Hurricane Season left to go so if you have Ocean Front interest or just worry about Gas Prices it’s not time yet to let your guard down. Outdoors is calm on the puppy dog trail this morning. The grass is losing it’s luster and looks a bit dry since we have missed the bulk of the last couple of Rain events. We have some Rain chances over the next few days but I don’t see any big rain events. Now for the facts.

We did not report any Rain for the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7AM was 63 degrees. Looking for a 85 degree High and a 60 degree Low tonight. A couple of degrees cooler Sunday during the day but milder Sunday night with more Clouds and Humidity.

Barometer is 30.15″ and Steady right now but has ranged up and down over the last day or so. Look for a slight trend down over the weekend.

Humidity is 95% but that will burn off a bit as the Dew evaporates. The trend however is up as Dew Points will be increasing and our shower chances improve.

Wind is Calm early but will be generally Southerly for the Holiday weekend period. This will maintain our Humidity as we get a inflow of Gulf moisture. Wind speeds of 5 mph or so.

The weekend Summary, Today: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Partly cloudy, with a high near 85. South southeast wind around 5 mph. Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Sunday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming east southeast around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. East southeast wind around 5 mph. Monday looks a bit on the damp side but it’s a Holiday and I’m thinking about a trip to the Movie’s and take in a flick. Have a good weekend, and don’t forget I’m looking for you in Church on Sunday.
