9/14/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Rain is just over the horizon if the Radar can be believed. We had a mostly dry weekend here in spite of shower chances. The next couple of days have significant shower chances and in fact heavy rainfall is likely on Tuesday. Beyond that the rest of the week still has some rain chances so I hope you have a new umbrella. With lots of clouds and rain our Temperatures will only rise to maybe 82 degrees and then tonight fall to 66 for the Low. If you have outdoor work and can dodge the Rain showers you can’t complain about the temperatures. In the great outdoors this morning we observed more Geese in formation heading South. The Birds were singing cheerfully here and thankfully we didn’t hear the distant Pop of Shotguns as maybe the Dove Hunters had to work today. We are seeing a lot of Deer activity now but mostly at night. My little Missy doggie and I surprised a herd of perhaps 6 or more that were grazing on the North Lawn last night. Now for the facts.

We did not report any Rain in the last 48 hours.
Temperature at 7AM was 64 Degrees. Headed for 82 High and 66 Low today.

Barometer is 30.00″ and Falling. Look for falling pressure today and tonight as a Low to our Southwest finally slowly moves in our direction.

Humidity is 95% and not having a lot of Sun to burn that off today. Look for High Dew Points today and this evening. Near 100% chance of rain tonight.

Wind is Calm early. But, trending towards the Southeast as the Low Pressure Southwest of us has a more significant impact on our weather. Speeds in the 5 to 10 mph range but gusty in the Thunder Showers.

The Sky is completely Overcast this morning. Lot of Clouds today with some but few breaks for only a small amount of Sun today.

The Summary, Today: Scattered showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Tonight: Rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 66. Southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is near 100%. Tuesday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 79. South southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. We are still stuck in a wet and cooler than usual weather pattern. That has been the story for most of this Summer. We have one week left before Fall and I wonder what surprises that may have for us. Have a good day.
