9/15/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Daylight this morning but not a lot of Sunshine. We have a good chance of Showers and possibly a Thunder Shower. Those chances go way up this evening and tomorrow. Temperatures will continue to be mild with 82 degree High and 66 degrees for tonight’s Low. The High Humidity and associated Dew Point is making the air “feel” heavy and will be the fuel for some heavy Rain showers in some spots…..The Gulf Beaches get a bit of a break from the Clouds and Showers today as the Low Pressure area that has sat on them for a few days is drifting a little further North. However, since it is moving so very slowly we here in Tennessee will have to deal with the Clouds and Showers for several days. I’m still waiting for a big Cold Front to sweep this all out of here but I’m not seeing one yet…..Out in the Atlantic the remains of Hurricane Fred are still holding together well enough that the National Hurricane Center is continuing to track it. So far redevelopment doesn’t look to likely but you never know. The Hurricane Season has 2 and a half months to go. The outdoor scene here is slow as we are transitioning into Fall. My doggies didn’t find much on the trail this morning. Now here are the facts for Tuesday morning.

We reported .04″ of Rain for the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7 AM was 69 degrees. Look for a 82 degree High and a 66 degree Low tonight. The Clouds and Humidity will make the air feel warmer than that however.

Barometer is 29.99″ and Falling. We will have lowering and unstable pressure for the next few days.

Humidity is 96% and will remain High today as we have a good deal of Tropical Moist air flowing into Tennessee.

Wind is calm this morning but will be East to Southeast today. 5 to 10 mph speeds. Perhaps a bit gusty in the Showers.

Sky is Cloudy. We may have a few Sunny breaks in the Clouds but mostly cloudy conditions today and this evening.

The Summary, Today: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming east southeast between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Tonight: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 66. East southeast wind around 5 mph. Wednesday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a high near 78. East southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
So it looks like our Showery weather will last a few more days. The National Weather Service is asking the Storm Spotters to be prepared to send in reports of Heavy Rainfall, so they are expecting some of us to get a lot of Rain. Have great day anyway.
