The Overcast Sky and Saturated ground is beginning to get a little depressing. Rain chances persist today even as the System that has plagued us all last week has passed. The Low pressure area and associated trough was on our West horizon sending us showers, now it’s on our East but still sending waves of showers. This whole deal has to move further East before we get a real break. The problem is there is more weather in the upper mid west that could influence our weather later in the week. I’m thinking our second Hay cut is going to rot in the field and I’m seeing some signs of that here. I reported .13 and 1.02″ of Rain for Sunday and now Monday morning. We have reported 8.26″ of Rain so far in September and some people a few miles North of here have had nearly twice that. I still say this has been one of the wildest years of Weather Watching I can remember. The outdoors scene here is mostly at a stand still. The Doggies are just barely trudging past the front door. We did see some Deer last night shortly after a heavy Thunder Shower. The Shower chances will be reduced this week from what we had last week but I think the second half of the week is a tad more unpredictable than some of the experts are admitting to. We have so much moisture in the air and on the ground that our local conditions are becoming a mechanism to generate pop up showers on there own. We need a blast of Canadian air to blow this mess away and dry us off some, but I still don’t see one. Now here are the facts.

We reported .13″ of Rain Sunday morning and 1.02″ today. We have reported Rain Seven days straight. Looking sure to have some on day Eight as well.
Temperature at 7AM is 70 degrees. Look for a 80 High and 66 Low today.

Barometer is 30.05″ and has Risen over the last 12 hours. The Low Pressure has moved past us some but is still a big factor in our weather.

Humidity is and will be 100%.

Wind is generally East to Southeast at 3 mph. Not a big Wind event with this weather pattern even in the Thunder Storms. Possibly a Shift North on Wednesday could reduce our Rain chances. That remains to be seen.

The Sky is Overcast today.

The Summary, Today: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a high near 80. South southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Tonight: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Tuesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph. All of this wet weather is keeping folks huddled up in doors and that’s making the H1N1 situation worse so take care. I wonder what new surprises the world of weather has for us. I heard some Thunder about 5 minutes ago, here we go again.
