9/30/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Maximum Sunshine today and slightly warmer with a High of 75 degrees. That’s a classic early Fall Day here in Middle Tennessee. We had a over night Low of 41 degrees so we didn’t make my predicted 39 but who said I was perfect. Tonight we will see further moderation of the temperature and only get a Low of 46 degrees. Thursday will be Sunny but at sometime during the day a wind shift South will precede our next rain chance. It’s looking like Friday may be our wet day but the weekend is looking Fair and Dry with Low 70’s for the Highs. On the puppy dog trail this morning the ground was dry and firm. The birds were singing and we saw a flock of Geese headed generally South for the approaching Winter. The Rains have rejuvenated the Trees somewhat but these cool nights will quickly take their toll on the leaves and we will see some Color in the next few days. This is the last day of September and October is a transition month so we’ll see a little bit of everything over the next 31 days. I remember once when I was a kid we had Flurries on Halloween Night. That was likely over 40 years ago, so maybe we’re due again. So once again I got chores to do so here are the facts.

We did not have any rain to report for the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7AM was 43 degrees after a 41 degree Low. Look for 75 and 46 today.

Barometer is 30.13″ and Steady. We did get a bit of a Rise but after today we take another little dip as we have some weather to our West. This should be a fast mover unlike our last weather system, which camped out here for a couple of weeks.

Humidity is 95% but falling in the warming Sun. Low humidity today and slightly increasing when we have a wind shift on Thursday.

Winds are Calm early but Northwest at 5 mph or so today. Thursday look for a shift South.

Sky is Clear. Look for a few fair weather Cumulus Clouds today and tonight. Thursday increasing Clouds but still a good bit of Sun.

The Summary, Today: Sunny, with a high near 75. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph. Tonight: Clear, with a low around 46. Calm wind. Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 77. Calm wind becoming south between 5 and 10 mph. Thursday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely after 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 60. South wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. So we’re looking at Rain for late Thursday and early Friday. Then bring on a Sunny weekend. Have a good one.
