10/6/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

The good news is we’re warming up today so of course it’s going to rain . We have a high likelihood of Showers and Thunderstorms this afternoon and evening and this Hazardous Weather Outlook is from the NWS.
453 AM CDT TUE OCT 6 2009 THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE..DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT A PASSING COLD FRONT MAY BRING STRONG TO ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA PARTICULARLY THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. DAMAGING WIND AND HAIL IS POSSIBLE.
High Temperature looks to be about 74 today and with Clouds and some Rain the Low will be about 57 degrees. Those temps are close to average for this time of year, what’s not average is our way above normal Rainfall. Wednesday afternoon and Thursday may see a bit of a break but Friday may be Rainy again. The Outdoors was gloomy and damp and we didn’t encounter any wildlife today. Watch out for those possible storms this afternoon and keep you NOAA Weather Radio standing by. Now since there is not much positive spin you can put on this soggy day here are the facts.

We reported .02″ of Rain for the last 24 hours. A combination of misty weather and sprinkles.
The temperature at 7AM was 59 degrees. Headed to 74 for the High and 57 for tonight’s Low.

Barometer is 29.95″ and Falling now. Not much High pressure in our immediate future.

Humidity is 95% and the Dew Point is 58 degrees at 7AM. We will have High Dew Points and damp conditions again today. I would love to get a few dry days in a row so I can Seal our Wood Deck but it’s just not happening right now.

Wind is South at 4 mph. Maybe a Northerly shift for Wednesday and some Sun before a return Southerly and more Rain by Friday.

Sky is Overcast and Misty today. Not likely to see much if any Sun today.

The Summary, Today: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. South southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1am. Low around 57. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Wednesday: A slight chance of showers before 10am. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 68. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. This wet weather and folks stuck indoors together is making the Flu spread so take care and hang in there. LOL
