10/13/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Clouds and increasing Rain Chances for this afternoon. High temperature of roughly 70 deg. Tonight Rain with near 100% chance Low of 54. Wednesday more Showers. The Southern Branch of the Jet Stream is continuing to send us Rain impulses one after the other. The old El Nino is to blame and this current one is the most active I’ve seen. I still think we could be in for a rough Winter if this pattern doesn’t moderate a bit. The Puppy Dog Trail was at least passable this morning and we have discovered a Ant Hill that is literally a foot high. I had to make Missy get back although wise old Benji knew what he was looking at and shied well away. They don’t look like Fire Ants but still I guess I need to go to war on these guys because they are just a little out of hand. I have a Napalm Recipe that some Special Ops guys told me about and this might be a good time to give it a try. Now let us check out the facts.

We reported .15″ of Rain for the 24 hour period ending at 7AM.
Temp at 7 AM was 60 degrees. Looking for a 70 High and 54 Low tonight.

Barometer is a fairly strong 30.25″ and has Risen some over night, but a new impulse from the South West will pull that down a bit this evening.

Humidity is near 100% and we have more than our share of moisture in place to stimulate some hefty rain showers later tonight.

Wind is Calm early. Look for a Northeast to East wind in the 5 mph range.

Sky is Cloudy with some occasional breaks, but look for Mostly Cloudy today and Wednesday.

The Summary, Today: A 40 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. North northeast wind around 5 mph. Tonight: Showers. Low around 54. East northeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Wednesday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 62. East southeast wind around 5 mph becoming north. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Still not much good news about our weather but in time these things always come to past. Have a great day anyway.
