12/9.2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

We are windy and mild this morning after a near Inch and a half of Rain. Temps. will be falling thru the morning hours and will be in the 30’s by Church time this evening. Winds maybe exceeding 30 mph this afternoon. Tonight will be Cold in the Low 20’s and still Windy. Thursday very cold with High’s in the 30’s and Severe Wind Chills. We are getting the Cold back side of the Major Winter Storm that is assaulting the upper mid west. Fortunately we are out of the precipitation for awhile. Out doors is mild but breezy and wet and spongy ground this morning. The ground will be frozen Thursday morning. We ran some Raccoons out of the Barn and hopefully they will find a more natural place to spend the winter. The Weather will continue to be active this week with a light Snow Rain mix Friday night and Rain forecast for Saturday morning. The Barometer is LOW…29.50 at one point late last night. If your knees are like mine you already knew the pressure was down. Now for those facts.

We are reporting 1.39″ of Rain for the previous 24 hours.
Temp.51deg. and our High will be early this morning at 53 and then a steep drop into the 30’s by Dark.

Bar.29.50″ and looks steady but this can’t really get much Lower and we’ll see a Rise today.

Hum.75% and the wind is drying us out some but there is a lot of water on the ground.

Wind SW 18mph and gust up to 30 mph possible today.

Sky Partly Cloudy and clearing today.

The Summary, Today: Partly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 39 by 5pm. Windy, with a west wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 26. West northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Thursday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 39. Northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

You need to bundle up for Cold weather but it’s early in the Season so it’ll not last long. I’m hoping for 50’s temperature wise on Monday. Hang in there.
