12/23/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

A cloudy start and a cloudy mild day with 50 plus temps. This afternoon Shower chances increase but the serious rain will not be here until Thursday. Tonight has Clouds and Showers and a strengthening wind with mid 40’s for the Low.Thursday looks like a windy and wet day with possible storms in the afternoon. That’s not your usual Christmas Eve scenario but it’s no great surprise after the year we have had. Outdoors this morning we got a 12 foot tall blow up Snowman and my little dog Missy is not to sure what to make of this new development. She had only recently gotten used to the illuminated Christmas Tree in the front yard. She decided to make a quick left turn and we proceeded to the usual puppy dog trail where she feels like she’s the big dog. Old Benji just slowly followed behind her but I swear I think he was chuckling to himself. He’s seen all this stuff many times before. Not much action on the trail this time of year but we made the rounds. Tomorrow the weather may not let us stray so far. Now for the facts.

Temp.42deg. and headed to the upper 50’s then a mild 40 something night. Thursday will be mild but wild.

Bar.30.15″ and Falling as we got weather on the way. Some rain in the Southwest corner of the State on the Radar early today.

Hum.90% and we are going to get wet for a couple of days leading into Christmas.

Wind E 2mph and trending Southerly. Look for increasing wind speeds and gusty this evening. Strong 30 plus speeds Thursday mean the Christmas blowups may not be up and running much on Thursday.

Sky Mostly Cloudy and clouds will be lowering and thickening during the day.

The Summary, Today: Showers likely, mainly after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 55. South southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.Tonight: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 46. Southeast wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.Thursday: Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 3pm. High near 57. Windy, with a southeast wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to between 25 and 30 mph. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

That Thursday forecast really stinks but at least you won’t be surprised. Git it done today folks.
