12/29/2009 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Overnight Clouds give way to Sun and hopefully 42 to 44 degrees for our Chilly High temperature. Clouds on the increase again tonight with a milder 32 degree Low. Wednesday Rain or maybe Sleet chances and it’s all down hill from there. The Clouds late last night actually warmed us up some. At 10 PM we were a cold 24 degrees but after the Ballgame ended with a late overtime we had risen to 28 by 11:30 and hovered there all night. That 4 degrees maybe helped a bit but I couldn’t really see much difference. Outdoors it’s Cold and a bit of Wind made that 28 feel like 21 degrees. However we all made the trek to the Barn and made our rounds. Not much to see. The little birds are eyeing the feeder so I’ll have to make a reload trip before too long. We saw a lone Coyote crossing the North Lawn yesterday afternoon just before dark. I haven’t seen too many lately but maybe he’s Raccoon hunting. Still seeing some chances of light Snow possible for New Years Day. I’ve got to to get me some Hog Jowl and Black eye Peas today or tomorrow. This year will be long gone in just a couple of days. Now for those facts,

No Precipitation to report for the last 24 hours.
Temperature at 7AM was 28 degrees. Maybe looking for 42 or so today and only down to 32 tonight as Clouds will blanket the area and maybe bring some Rain or Sleet over night.

Bar.30.40″ and Steady now. We had a nice ride up yesterday but by afternoon we will see the gradual Fall begin as weather approaches from the southwest.

Hum.70% in the Cool dry air. But, upper level moisture is increasing and the lower levels will see a increase in Humidity tonight.

Wind NW 7mph and look for 5 to 10 mph. A shift later today to a Easterly or Southerly direction as Low Pressure area to our West begins to influence our weather.

Sky Mostly Cloudy but Sun will over take those today and Clouds return this evening. After today it may well be Saturday before another Sunny Day.

The Summary, Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 42. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 32. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Wednesday: A slight chance of rain and sleet before noon, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 48. South wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

The Snow forecast is tricky right now. We may not get more than a few flurries but a little shift in the Jet Stream and the trick could be on us. I still think we’ll see a big one this Winter I just don’t know when.
