1/2/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Very Cold and a few passing Flurries this morning. We only see about 26 degrees for the High and 14 or less tonight. Sunday’s High might only be 27 or so and don’t even ask about the wind chills cause they will be painful. The flurries this morning are from a patch of upper level moisture that is rapidly exiting the area. The middle of next week after a week of frigid temperatures we might be set up for some measuring Snow. The trail this morning was firm and frozen up pretty good. The guys and I made it a fast trip. This cold air will get a reinforcing blast of Artic Air straight from Siberia mid week and there are some Snow chances with that Front so stock up with some food about Tuesday at the latest. Now since we don’t have much to talk about except Cold Weather here are the facts.

We reported a Trace amount of precipitation this morning from Snow Flurries.
Temp.17deg. and that was the over night Low as we just got colder and colder. Mid 20’s today and teens tonight.

Bar.30.35″ and still rising. This is a strong Artic High Pressure System

Hum.65% and falling as the cold air squeezes out the moisture.

Wind N 7mph and severe Wind chills for several days.

Sky Cloudy w/Flurries and we will lose the Flurries but keep the Clouds. Some Sun on Monday but we won’t warm up much.
