1/9/2010 @ 7AM in Bedfoed County, Tennessee

The Snow just will not stop but it doesn’t amount to a lot either. We have a half inch on the ground this morning. Flurries may yet continue today with low 20’s for our High temp. cold tonight but Flurries will be ending and a Low maybe at or less than 10 degrees. We may well see some clearing over night or in the morning.Sunday we hope to get to 30 degrees with mid teens Sunday night. Hang in there we get above freezing on Monday with a Wind Shift, maybe 40 degrees. that will clear off the Ice. We see a small Snow chance Monday night and then a warming dry trend for the rest of the work week. Out doors the never ceasing Flurries slowly have filled in the tracks from yesterday and we have actually slightly more Snow on the ground today than yesterday. Just enough to be slippery. We didn’t venture far today but I have seen several of our Deer congregating down by my man made Salt and Mineral lick. Now for the facts.

We reported 3 tenths of a inch of New Snow and a Total On the Ground of a half inch.
Temp.16deg and we have been in the freezer for a week. No help today with maybe 22 degrees but Sunday we get 30 or 31 and Monday the near 40 degree mark. If you have anything frozen it’ll thaw out Monday.

Bar,30.40″ and Strong High Pressure today. We may fall off that mark some but not a lot this week end.

Hum.75% and just enough moisture to keep the Flurry machine going. That will end tonight.

Wind NW 8mph look for 5 to 10 today and more Cold Wind Chills.

Sky Cloudy with Light Snow but finally some clearing Sunday.

The Summary for the week end, Today: Scattered flurries. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 22. North northwest wind around 10 mph. Tonight: Scattered flurries before midnight. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 10. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 30. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 16. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph.

The wind shift late Sunday or early Monday will take us out of the deep freeze. Have a Safe Week End.
