1/20/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Rain is beginning shortly after the 7 AM observations this morning. Rain today possibly heavy at times and maybe some Thunder. High Temperature of 58 degrees. Rain likely in the overnight and mild temperatures. More of the same for Thursday but we may see a break on Friday and the first half of Saturday. Saturday night and Sunday still look good for a round of Storms so be prepared. Out doors here today we made our morning trek just prior to the rain beginning. The warmer weather this week and Sunshine has perked up the Lawn but not much growing this time of year. Missy has been too fascinated with a large Anthill she discovered last Fall and yesterday the Ant Army was out of their foxholes adding soil to the hill. “Somebody” called in a air strike and a blowtorch killed a ton of the soldiers. I predict “Special Forces” will soon be called in with a shovel and more fiery propane to destroy them as they have gone from being a curiosity to being a nuisance. Everything is a matter of perspective and I guess to the Ant population I am a Terrorist. My original concern were that they were possibly Fire Ants but fortunately they are just our common local variety Ant. There are some Fire Ant hills reported just a few miles South of here and I’m watching out for them. But maybe our Cold Spell will convince them not to move on any further North this year. Now after all that Drama here are the facts.

We had no rain in our gauge at 7 AM but we will have tomorrow.
Temp.51deg. and it will slowly climb to near 58 today and drop back only to 53 tonight. Not a lot of temperature movement today.

Bar.29.85″ and Falling today to maybe as low as 29.60 so perhaps some heavy rain and some aches and pains from the low and unstable pressure.

Hum.90% and that will increase today as we will be wet all day and tonight.

Wind SW 4mph and will be Southerly at 5 to 15 mph with some trend toward the Southeast.

Sky Overcast today and Thursday. Some Sunny breaks on Friday.

The Summary, Today: Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. High near 58. South wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.Tonight: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 53. South southeast wind between 5 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.Thursday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then showers and thunderstorms after noon. High near 63. East southeast wind around 15 mph becoming south southwest. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

There is no shortage of weather this week as the storms are still lined up across the country. Stay dry if you can. No severe weather is in our imminent forecast.
