1/26/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

A Cold Breezy Day but we will see some Sunshine. High of only 37 to 39 degrees. Cold overnight and slightly warmer Wednesday. Thursday Rain could transition to Freezing Rain before Snow on Friday. The end of the week is not looking to good at this time. The weather guys at Old Hickory are still unsure of the timing or amount of precipitation but they are making a big deal out of this potential Winter Storm so I’m passing on the information as I get it. We are stocking up on Food and Water and Propane just in case we have to fend for ourselves. If the Power Lines go down it could be a few days. Outdoors this fine morning the ground is firm and of course Frozen but that makes getting around easier. We made all our appointed stops today. But it looks like us guys were the only folks out and about. We will know more about the upcoming situation for Thursday by in the morning but for now here are the facts.

We reported a Trace Amount of precipitation as a result of the Flurries on Monday.
Temp.31deg. and slowly rising to upper 30’s today and then mid 20’s tonight. Slightly warmer on Wednesday.

Bar.29.95″ and Rising today but by Wednesday the needle may well be feeling a Low approaching from the West.

Hum.75% as the combination of Cold air and dry wind will give us some relief until Thursday.

Wind W 9mph and we will have some wind today. Possibly 10 to 20 mph and gusts to 30 as a slight trend towards the Northwest set in. A shift Southerly and then finally Northeast when our next winter precipitation event begins.

Sky Mostly Cloudy but Sun will be in our forecast today and mostly Sunny on Wednesday.

The Summary, A WINTER STORM IS STILL FORECAST FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE LATE THIS WEEK…WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF PRODUCING SIGNIFICANT SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS.
Today: Scattered flurries before noon. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 37. West northwest wind between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 25. West northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph becoming calm. Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph.
We have to be on our toes this week. Have a good day…anyway.
