1/28/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Sunny and Mild this morning. Southerly Breeze with a High near or at 50 degrees. The Winter Weather is on the way, Rain, Freezing Rain, Snow and Sleet all Forecast to begin after mid night. Some models call for varying time frames but I would make preparations for a over night arrival. Friday is going to be a very problematic day. Some areas will be impacted sooner than others and I suspect if you’re not careful you might be caught in a delicate situation. Freezing Rain can set in on you before you are fully aware that it’s happening. Don’t wait until Friday morning if you need anything because regardless of what the TV stations say conditions may get serious before Sunrise Friday.I think perhaps this has the potential to be the most serious Winter Weather we have had here in 10 years, although maybe we can once again dodge the bullet. A lot of ignorant people were critical when the last forecast storm failed to materialize. We’ll just have to prepare and wait and see. Now for the facts.

We had some over night Sprinkles at 10:00 PM last night and we dutifully reported a Trace amount.
Temp.44deg and rising above what was originally forecast for today. We may hit 50 deg. briefly. But colder this afternoon.

Bar.30.30″ and still not falling. These Winter storms were really sneaky back before Radar and Satellites and hundreds of reporting stations. When the Barometer starts to drop it will not be long before the Weather deteriorates.

Hum.60% and this will be on the Rise. The upper atmosphere is moist from a Southerly flow.

Wind SW 2mph but Soon forecast to shift East to Northeast. 5 to 10 mph speeds.

Sky Mostly Clear but Clouds on the increase even as I write. High thin Clouds composed of Ice that will thicken and Lower as the day wears on.
