2/4/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Clouds have been on the increase over night and Rain follows from the South later in the morning. Milder temperatures as the Wind Shifts Southerly. High temp. in the upper 40’s and Low only down to the upper 30’s tonight. The wet pattern holds for 7 more days. Rain and snow chances will crop up in the forecast for the next week every few days as there seems to be another storm coming into the West Coast of California every 48 hours or so. Winter and El Nino are impacting most of the Country. Here this morning the Geese have decided to hang around another day. The ground is soft but did improve after the dry day Wednesday. I’m afraid by noon today more rain will be falling so we’ve got a few light chores to get done early. With the milder weather and the Snow mostly gone I’m not filling the Bird feeder today so maybe my growing flock will scatter abroad and find some food on their own. If you’re not careful they will forget how to be wild birds and become panhandlers. But we have food for them when the cold and snow comes back. And I’m feeling like we have some nasty weather ahead. I talked to a friend on the Ham Radio this morning in Fort Walton Florida and they only look to get up to 57 degrees for the next few days and it’s Raining “cats and dogs” according to him. So unless you go all the way down to South Florida you may as well stay home. Now for the facts.

We had no precipitation to report for the previous 24 hours. Two dry days in a row.
Temp.32deg. and rising slowly. Clouds will hold the temperature down a bit but a wind shift will warm us up especially in the over night hours. Look for a 46 and 38 day.

Bar.30.20″ and dropping some the last few hours. A series of Low depressions are meandering our way.

Hum.85% and on the increase as most of the Southeast is getting a dose of moisture.

Wind N 2mph early but we’re looking for a Southerly shift perhaps before lunch time.

Sky Mostly Cloudy and while we may see some breaks briefly today the outlook is mostly cloudy for the next couple of days.

The Summary, Today: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 46. Southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.Tonight: Rain. Low around 38. Southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.Friday: Rain. High near 45. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming west southwest. Chance of precipitation is 90%.Friday Night: A chance of rain before midnight, then a chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a low around 34. West northwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Not a very pretty forecast but it’s what we got so make the most of it. Have a good day.
