2/5/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Rain and Gray Sky this morning with some minor flooding in places so be careful. Rain likely all day today with some Flurries tonight. Flurries and Rain Saturday morning but I don’t think we’ll be Cold enough for any real accumulation. Sunday we get a brief Sunny break before more Rain and Snow chances on Monday. Winter and her woes are backed up all across the country. The Virginia’s and parts of the East are getting a Snow Storm this weekend and just about anywhere you go folks are complaining about the weather. I’m not a big proponent of the Global Warming Theory but I do believe in the Climate Change principal. I’ve lived and observed long enough to see some significant changes in our Climate. I highly suspect that has been the case since this planet was created. However, having said all that other than perhaps a time share agreement I would not invest in any “Beach Front Property”. Outdoors here we had over a inch of Rain overnight. We had 1.43 for the total period and the Trail to the Barn is way too wet for us today. Missy went to Pet Smart last night for a Bath and Nails treatment and I have orders not to take her out into the mud. So we just stepped outside for a brief whiz and headed back inside today. Now for the facts.

We reported 1.43″ of Rain. Rain was falling at observation time.
Temp.40deg. and not going much above 42 degrees today. Looking for 33 tonight and hoping we stay above freezing.

Bar.29.75″ and still falling. Low pressure and resulting unstable wet weather for the next 30 hours or so.

Hum.98% and no break from the wet. May as well be 100% for the next 24 hours.

Wind Calm but looking Southwest to West today then a trend more Northwest as we cool down Saturday morning.

Sky Overcast and not looking for any Sun before a few possible breaks briefly on Saturday afternoon. Partly Sunny on Sunday.

The Summary, Today: Rain. High near 42. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.Tonight: Rain and snow likely, becoming all snow after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 33. West northwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Saturday: A chance of snow before noon, then a chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a high near 39. North northwest wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible

The Weather Service is still calling for a Dusting of Snow but I don’t think we will be Cold enough here in the Southern Region. But we will have plenty of Street Flooding so Turn Around Don’t Drown. Have a good day.
