2/27/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Sunny and Cold early but milder this afternoon. Some areas will see upper 40’s but most will peak in the mid 40’s. Not as Cold tonight with some Clouds and upper 40’s on Sunday. We should be dry until Monday night. February is winding up this weekend and it’s been a Cold Snowy month over most of the entire Country. Spring is 21 days away and while that’s technically just a date on the Calendar I think a lot of people are eager for planting time and grass mowing. The Spring Storm Season is the next hurdle in front of us and most groups involved with that sort of thing are active in their public information and education programs. Outdoors here this morning was Cold and barren. The bright Sunshine fully exposes how dead everything is and we don’t have much activity on the trail here lately except at the Bird feeder. But I think soon we’ll see it picking up. Now for those facts.

We did not report any precipitation for the previous 24 hours.
Temperature at 7AM was 24 degrees. But that was a snapshot in time that passed quickly and we’re rising into the 30’s quickly as the Sun rises higher. Look for mid to upper 40’s today and Sunday. Still that’s well below our norm’s for time of year.

Barometer is 29.95″ and slowly falling. We are losing our stability but not expecting significant weather before Monday.

Humidity is 78% which is low for this hour. The atmosphere was dry last night and the Stars were especially Brilliant. We will start to pick up upper level moisture and associated Clouds later today.

Wind is Calm this morning but will resume Northwest at 10 to 15 today and Sunday. No wind shift in the near future. We will stay cool until we see some Southerly.

The Weekend Summary, Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 47. Northwest wind between 5 and 15 mph.

Tonight: A slight chance of flurries after 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 46. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 48. North northeast wind around 5 mph.

Just a few Flurry chances late tonight but not really likely here in the Southern Region. One year ago tonight we had 7 Inches of Snow. We have some Snow chances late Monday. I hope March doesn’t just pick up where February left off. Anyway, have a great weekend. And as always we’ll be looking for you in Church on Sunday.
