3/2/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Heavy Flurries this morning but at 34 degrees not really a problem. Some Flurries before about mid day and then Rain and Flurries. High today about 42 degrees. Cloudy and 29 tonight. Weekend still looks like Spring. Our Snowy Winter has still got a few tricks left up her sleeve but the Temperature fortunately is warm enough to avert any real travel problems. Outdoors on the Puppy Dog Trail doggies with Snow Flakes on their little backs were nose to the ground tracking what ever little dogs can track. It may have been their scent from yesterday for all I know but they do apply themselves. A couple of Deer were near the tree line ahead of us but they nonchalantly strolled into the woods before we got there. The grass is beginning to show some signs of life although we’re running behind what we had the last several years. I’m thinking once the lawn wakes up if the Rains hold up it could be a good year for grass. We’ll need it because a lot of Hay has been fed this past Winter. Now if we can get by without too much moisture hitting the ground today we have 5 dry and warmer days ahead of us. We might hit 60 by Sunday. Here are the facts.

We reported .01″ of precipitation and Snow Flurries at 7 AM this morning.
Temperature at 7 AM was 34 degrees. By 8 AM down to 33 but rising slowly as we get along with the day. Cold on Wednesday but warmer each day through the weekend.

Barometer is 29.90″ and Steady now, The Low to our South is moving away and we anticipate High and Stable pressure settling in over the latter part of the week.

Humidity is 90% and we’ll be damp today but improving for the remainder of the week.

Wind is Northeast at 4 mph. May be gusty some today. Trending Northwest later today and looking for a Southwest shift Saturday if everything holds up.

Sky is Cloudy today and tonight. Clouds on Wednesday but Sun returns on Thursday.

The Summary, Today: A chance of snow before noon, then a chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a high near 42. North wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Don’t fret over the Snow Flurries we’re turning the corner and looking for the finish line and Spring in 18 days. Have a good day.
