3/3/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Clouds and naturally a few Flurries early today but eventually we make it up to 43 degrees. Flurries ending but Cold tonight with Clouds departing. Thursday looking Sunny and near 50 degrees. Weekend still looks good. The North Wind managed to blow at least 1 mph or so most of the night, thus some drying of the ground. We here didn’t have any accumulation of Snow from the flurries Tuesday but some of ya’ll did. My friend in Manchester may have had a inch on the ground at least briefly according to some of the Ham Radio traffic I heard from Coffee County. The Clouds and the Cold air aloft are still managing to squeeze out a few small flakes this morning but If we are lucky this may have been the last of the Snow for this season. However, we haven’t been very lucky here lately and the 3rd week of March has been “tricky” on more than one occasion. Outdoors here we hit the trail this morning, just my little Missy and me as Benji hung out close to home. We took a alternate route this morning and observed that our man made Salt Lick has all been licked up at last. We had to cross over a low spot along the road where there is a drain pipe Missy always has to investigate and I don’t know what she saw but she was backing up and finally behind me. She doesn’t back down much so whatever she saw we decided to leave it alone, we had other places we needed to be. All was quite other wise. Now for the facts.

Reporting .09″ of Precipitation for the 24 hour period. This was from a combo of Snow and Rain.
Temperature is 32 degrees at 7AM and it will be Cold early today and then finally this afternoon creeping up to 43 degrees. Cold tonight but slightly warmer Thursday and then dramatically warmer for 3 or 4 days.

Barometer is 30.00″ and trying to Rise slowly. Look for more High Pressure and Stability until Monday.

Humidity is 90% but dropping and the trend is dry for a few days. Good news and good timing for a lot of people.

Wind is North at at 4 mph but will pick up to 10 to 15 later. the trend will be toward Northwest for a couple days then West and Southwest later on Saturday and Sunday.

Sky is Cloudy and will remain so today and tonight before Clearing. Thursday through Sunday looks Sunny.

The Summary, Today: Scattered flurries before 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 49. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

If we can hang on a couple more days we have another taste of Spring headed our way. However the Real Deal is still 18 days away. Have a good day.
