3/5/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Sunshine and Warming Temperatures this morning as we plan to soar past the 50 degree mark this afternoon. Saturday looks to be near 60 and Sunday we will exceed the 60 mark. Shower chances return Monday evening. But the warm temps. will remain. I would expect some Thunder chances sometime next week as well but let’s enjoy the next few days first. Outdoors on the trail today we had a hefty frost last night and the Possum population has been stirring around from the looks of the tracks. We saw one in the road last night and he wasn’t “playing Possum” either. He was fully committed to being dead at the scene. We continue to be a primary feeding ground for Robins and the local Worm population is dwindling. Just about everybody else must have ventured out before we got there. It should not be too long before we start seeing some Bunny Rabbits, and we had a bunch last year. Now for the facts.

No precipitation to report.
Temperature at 7 AM was just above 32 degrees and rising. Our nights will continue to be Cold but the Days are getting much warmer starting today.

Barometer is 30.26″ and Rising. We will see some of the strongest pressure we have had in a while over the next 48 hours or so.

Humidity is 75% and falling in the Sun. We are dry here for a few days and points to the South in Alabama have Red Flag Fire Warnings for Forest Fires up this morning. This due to low humidity and wind.

Wind is Northwest at 2 mph. The North Wind will persist but is losing some of it’s cold properties and ultimately late Saturday we see a Shift Southwest.

Sky is Clear and we have a lot of Sun on the menu today.

The Summary, Today: Sunny, with a high near 53. North wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 27. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 57. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph.

We have a significant warming trend beginning today after a brutal Winter. Still Spring is just over 2 weeks away and we may yet have a chance for some Winter Weather. However we are entering into the transition period and have to start looking out for Thunderstorms creeping into the Forecast as well. It seems like something is always out to get you. LOL Have a good day.
