3/9/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Sun and Clouds early this morning but Increasing Clouds from the West and Rain Showers approach before Lunchtime. The Temperature is mild after a mid 40’s overnight Low. Clouds and Showers for the remainder of the work week. The wet weather is projected to come in several waves off and on over the next several days but for the most part not expected to be severe, although we may hear some Thunder. Wednesday night and Thursday do bear watching so we’ll be on the lookout through that time period. The Humidity and the associated Dew Point is still low but the moisture will be lowering towards the ground over the next couple of hours. Outdoors here was warm and dry for one more day the dogs had lots of scents to trail and good dry ground under their feet. I can literally see a difference in the greening up of the lawn over the previous 24 hours and once the Sun stimulates that Chlorophyll the Rain will kick start the growing process. I guess we should be careful what we wish for because in 3 months we’ll be wishing the grass would give us a break! If you like to put out Onion Sets this last few days was a good time to do that and I bet some folks are looking forward to putting out the garden although it’s a way’s to go before planting time. Now for the facts.

No Rain for the previous 24 hours but that dry streak is ending.
We were 46 degrees at 7AM and the Low last night was only about 44 here and that just at Sunrise. A good deal of the night was spent still in the 50’s.

Barometer is 29.95″ and Falling. We have several days of unstable weather but at least we keep our mild temperatures.

Humidity is 70% early and dropping as we warm up but upper levels are moist and that will be descending this morning. Several days of damp weather which is unfortunately mostly “Normal” for the month of March.

Winds are Southerly at 4 to 6 mph this morning and may be in the 10 to 15 mph zone today and tonight.

Sky is Partly Cloudy early but Clouds are thick on the Western Horizon so most of today and evening will be Cloudy. The Sun was nice while it lasted.

The Summary, Today: Showers. High near 62. South wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Tonight: Showers likely, more numerous after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 50. South southeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a high near 63. South southeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

This is typical March weather here in Middle Tennessee and I guess we should be grateful for some “Typical” weather since most of the year has been anything But typical. Have a good day…..anyway.
