3/11/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Our anticipated line of Storms came in mostly as Rain but after a break later this morning more Stormy chances later this evening. We remain warm and look for upper 60’s today. The heating of the day may fuel Thundershowers later. Looks like a fair chance for Showers and Thunder Friday as the Front finally passes through and then Scattered Showers over the weekend as the wrap around from our Low Pressure area up North spins some occasional weather through here. Outdoors is a washout today as we received .44″ of Rain in a short time this morning. South of here in Alabama was Stormy last night and we could faintly see Lightening on the Southern horizon. Arkansas was the hot spot yesterday however with Tornado’s in several places. As we warm up today our unstable atmosphere and abundant moisture could fuel Storms so keep a watch out. Meanwhile it’s Raining hard now and the Doggies had to be ordered to step outside and do their business. They complied, “Good Little Doggies.” Now for the facts.

We reported .44″ of Rain for the period and more was falling at observation time.
Temperature is 53 deg. at 7AM and that was our Low last night as well. Looking for 68 or 70 today after the Rain clears out for awhile. The warm up may fuel some stronger Showers and Storms. No really cool weather for the next few days.

Barometer is 29.80″ and while steady now may fall more later today. We are unstable for the next couple of days.

Humidity is 97% and may as well be 100%. The moisture in the air and on the ground is near saturation point. Dew Points will be high this afternoon.

Wind is briefly out of the North during this heavy Rain Shower but will return Southerly behind this line of showers. Speeds of 5 to 10 mph but stronger in and near any Storms that pop up.

Sky is Overcast w/Rain. Look for Clouds today with only a brief break in some spots.

The Summary, Today: Showers and thunderstorms this morning and again this evening. High near 68. Calm wind becoming south between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Tonight: Scattered showers and possibly some Thunder Storms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. South southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. South southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Stay aware today and especially this evening. We have more mud for a few days but after the warm and Sunny spell this rain will get the growing process going. Have a good day.
