3/26/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Clouds this morning and Cold. The North wind will wake you up in a hurry. However Clouds will be breaking up this afternoon and the wind diminishes as Temperatures rise to the mid 50’s at least. Saturday a wind shift and 70 degrees. That Southerly wind shift on Saturday will eventually lead to shower chances Saturday night late and Sunday looks wet and stormy. We have a history of Severe Weather on Palm Sunday so we’ll be watching. Outdoors this morning the Cold Wind doesn’t seem to be bothering the songbirds and they are singing away. The doggies made their rounds but we didn’t linger much and hopefully we’ll warm up by lunch time. Our half inch of rain left us muddy but the wind and the Sun this afternoon will help some and Saturday the Sun will just about be finished with the job when more rain returns. Last nights storms were mild and brief here but some folks had some wind and hail. The Cloud Tops were not really high enough for severe weather but we have had a taste of what April has in store for us I guess. Now for the facts.

We reported .53″ of Rain for the 24 hours ending at 7 AM.
The Temperature at 7AM was 40 degrees but with the wind chill feels like 31 degrees. Look for 55 degrees later today and a cool 35 degree over night. Saturday looks good for 70 degrees.

Barometer is 29.95″ and Rising. We bottomed out at 29.70″ just before the Front passed. Look for a stable 24 to 36 hours before we drop again.

Humidity is 85% and with a cold dry North wind some drying today. Look for surface drying Saturday but the South Wind returns with upper level moisture.

Wind is North at 12 mph this morning but the speed diminishes this afternoon. Look for a southerly shift Saturday and gusty.

Sky is Overcast but some Sun later and a Sunny Day for Saturday.

The Summary, Today: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 55. North northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Less wind in the afternoon.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 35. North wind around 5 mph becoming east.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to between 15 and 20 mph. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

We have been getting Rain every couple of days here lately but maybe next week we can string 4 or 5 dry days in a row. With some Sun that will get us going and growing. Hang in there.
