4/8/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

Clouds and a few Rain Drops hanging on this morning but Rain ending as the morning progresses. Temperature not moving up much above 60 deg. today. Tonight Cool with Low’s in the upper 30’s. Sunny Friday and 66 degrees. The line of Storms that marched across the State last night were weakened by the drier air over the mid state and lost all of their Severe characteristics by the time they got here. We only had .23″ of Rain and just a rumble or two of Thunder. Some CoCoRaHs Stations here in Bedford County reported .25 to .46 so the Showers were more or less depending on where you were. Stations in Western parts of the State had a inch or more. Maybe the Rain will wash out the Pollen for a day or so but the Allergy Season has a ways to go and it’s been rough this year since so many varieties of Plants have bloomed at the same time. Outdoors here this morning we all made the trek and it’s wet but not really too bad. This time of year a few hours of Sun can make a big difference. All is peaceful so far as the wildlife is likely still huddled up and keeping dry. The grass we cut this week is already growing back and it’s going to be tough keeping up this year, for awhile anyway. Sun returns tomorrow and the long range Forecast looks like we will be Sunny and warming through Thursday of next week. That being the case it’s a good thing we got some Rain I guess. Now for the facts.

We reported .23″ of Rain. Most folks got a shade more than that but it is what it is.
Temperature at 7AM is 55 degrees. We may cool off some as the Front that actually is still just to our West has to come in about 10 AM. Finally we may Rise to near 60 this afternoon. Chilly tonight and 39 or so depending on when the Sky clears.

Barometer is 29.75″ and Steady now. We will begin a Rise behind the Front and then increasing and Stable Pressure for several days.

Humidity is 88% and we are wet. Look for drying conditions tomorrow and for several days to follow.

Wind is West at 4 mph this morning. Look for a Northwest shift behind the Front. A trend Southerly will begin Saturday.

Sky is Overcast today and gradual Clearing tonight before Sun returns on Friday.

The Summary, Today: A 40 percent chance of showers before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. West northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. Northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph becoming calm.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 665. Calm wind becoming west northwest between 5 and 10 mph.

We ducked the Storms last night but the Season is young. We actually needed a shot of Rain and even more so since it looks like a week before we get any more. Have a good day.
