5/1/2010 @ 7AM in Bedford County, Tennessee

The Month of May dawns Cloudy and with Tornado Watches out so here we go again. High near 80 and Rain and Thunderstorms to our West. Likelihood of Storms and Heavy Rain throughout the Weekend. Rain chance lowers on Monday and Tuesday looks Sunny. The Temperature and Dew Point are well into the range for Thunder Storm developement and we have enough Jet stream action for possible Tornados so I’m not going to be surprised if the current Watch that ends at 11:00 AM is not the only one we get today. Outdoors this morning the Rain hasn’t extended this far yet and the wind forbade any dew so it’s really warm and dry and it would be wonderful if all that grass had gotten mowed but I can’t be two places at once. The ducks from next door are still spending a lot of their mornings on the North Lawn and I’m hoping there aren’t any eggs in my over grown grass land. Missy and Sophie seem to have adjusted to their presence and Benji doesn’t see well enough to care. We did slug our way to the barn and in anticipation of heavy rain this weekend we put the Bike away and we’ll put a few miles on Old Blue this weekend. Now for some facts.

We didn’t report any Rain yesterday or today. We will have some in there tomorrow morning for sure.

Temperature at 7 AM is 68 degrees after a warm if slightly breezy night. We hit 80 before the Rain gets here and then maybe only 75 or so on Sunday as we have Heavy Rain forecast for Sunday.

Barometer is 29.85″ and Falling. As expected we took a good Dip late Friday afternoon. I don’t expect a drop as sharp as last Saturday but keep a eye on things and don’t bet your life on me.

Humidity is 85% and we will have a good deal of Moisture and High Dew Points today and Sunday.

Wind is generally Southerly but varies a good deal. We had Northeast for a few minutes at observation time but now West Southwest. Speeds in 10 to 20 range today with some stronger gust.

Sky is Mostly Cloudy and not much in the way of Sun this weekend.

The Summary, Today: Showers and thunderstorms. High near 80. South wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 75. Windy, with a south southwest wind 20 to 25 mph decreasing to between 10 and 15 mph. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
